And so, the Parma cured ham comes from Felino and Langhirano and the San Daniele from Friuli. The DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) trademark, obtained under the control of the various Protection Consortia, confirms that these products are processed and cured in their territory of origin. Fiorucci can, with good reason, call itself a "territorial specialist" since in collaboration with the Consortia it protects and valorises the traditions and recipes of the great flavours of Italy. A passion which makes Fiorucci a great connoisseur of Italian gastronomy.

What are the DOP and IGP trademarks These are protection trademarks attributed to foodstuffs with specific characteristics. The "Protected Geographical Indication" trademark (I.G.P.) indicates the place of origin, and is attributed to products that are processed in a particular geographical area, the characteristics of which are peculiar to this specific environment and the natural and traditional factors which are part of it.

The "Protected Denomination of Origin" trademark (D.O.P.) indicates the place of origin and is attributed to products which are produced and processed (from raw material through to finished product) in a particular geographical area, the characteristics of which are peculiar to this specific environment and the natural and traditional factors which are part of it. In short, the I.G.P. refers to the processes of production and transformation of the product, which must conform to the specific local traditions; the D.O.P. goes beyond this to require the local origin of the raw material.
